From a healthcare platform I co-founded to high-traffic sports platforms used by a global audience.
A healthcare platform now serving 100+ physiotherapists, letting them manage prescriptions and patient profiles end to end. I architected the frontend from scratch, established the component and coding conventions the team still builds on, and own production deployments and CI/CD. I lead a team of 2+ developers on feature delivery and code review.
A high-traffic sports-betting platform serving real-time odds data to a global user base. I built and maintained frontend features across web and mobile, shipped a custom LLM-powered chatbot to deflect repetitive support queries, and owned deployments across AWS and Firebase.
A sportsbook watchdog and betting-community platform sharing engineering and architecture with Oddstrader. I contributed to real-time data UIs, drove SEO work that lifted search rankings by ~60%, and shipped production features across the web stack.
The person behind the code
I'm Esteban, a full stack engineer based in San José, Costa Rica. Outside of shipping code, I'm usually deep in a video game, reading, or singing — music is a real passion of mine, and picking up piano and guitar is on my list for whenever life slows down enough to let me.
How I work matters to me as much as what I ship. I lead with transparency and direct communication — surfacing problems early instead of letting them sit, and being assertive about feedback in both directions: saying what needs to improve, and just as importantly, giving credit where it's earned. Paired with commitment to the team, I think that combination is what actually helps people grow.

Architected and shipped custom LLM-powered chatbots that improved user engagement and deflected repetitive support queries, and drove team-wide adoption of AI-assisted tooling that cut release cycle time by ~40%.
